A lake house turnover has one goal: when the next guest opens the door, the house should feel like nobody has ever stayed there. That takes a routine, because the window between checkout and check-in is often just a few hours.
We start by stripping beds and getting linens and towels moving, since they take the longest. While the laundry runs, the kitchen gets reset: dishes, counters, appliance fronts, the inside of the microwave and fridge, and a check that nothing was left in the cabinets.
Bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected top to bottom, with fresh towels folded and staged. Then we dust, vacuum, and mop, paying attention to what lake living brings inside: sand at the doors, pollen on the window sills, and dirt on porch furniture.
Last come the details guests notice: beds made tight with pillows arranged, towels folded on the bed or in the bath, porch swept, lights and ceiling fans working, and a final walkthrough of every room. We'll also note anything that needs an owner's attention, like a broken item or a low supply.
Mary's Black Label Cleaning Co. handles turnovers and pre-arrival cleans for second homes and rentals around Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair. Send us your calendar and we'll work around your bookings.
